The college lies within the vicinity of the famous Siva temple of south India, Sri Kalahastheswara temple. The college is blessed with an opportunity to provide poor-students lunch every day by the grace of Lord Sri Kalahastheswara through the board of Sri Kalahasteswara Devasthanams.

The mid-day meal has been a very successful practice in this college as the most of the students come from farer villages without any sophisticated travel mode. Hence the students never get enough time to prepare lunch at home. The mid-day meal bestowed by Lord himself is a boon to the pupils seeks blessings of knowledge. The staff-club is contributing a banana, sometimes an egg as well as the transport- expenditure of MiddayMeals from the staff contribution. The students coming from very far or poor financial background are highly benefited. This practice becomes a triumph-card for admissions. The food is not only nutritious but also delicious and keeps the students with in the campus from 9.30 AM to 4.00 PM.

The students staying from morning till evening while practicing games also benefited with this scheme to a larger extent. Some of the staff will taste the food to test its standard once in a fortnight. The teaching staff visit kitchen time to time to monitor & maintain, hygiene and neatness.

The management of the college has been uploaded by the alumni for this practice by which the staff is motivated to contribute its share in materializing the practice.
